​Staff Members
​Dr. Jack R. Scherer, MD, FAAD graduated from the Indiana University School of Medicine in 1970 and completed his Residency in Dermatology in 1976. In that same year, he joined Dr. Probst here at Dermatology Physicians, Inc. and has been here ever since, by now having treated literally thousands of patients happy with the results of his remedies. Dr. Scherer is Board Certified in Dermatology and has memberships in the Indiana State Dermatological Association, Indiana State Medical Association, Bartholomew/Brown County Medical Society, and American Medical Association. He is also a volunteer clinical assistant professor at the Indiana University Department of Dermatology, helping to educate and form a new generation of dermatologists.
Michael Sheehan, MD, FAAD graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine in 2007 and completed his Residency in Dermatology in 2011. He was awarded the top graduating resident award for outstanding performance. During his training he developed a dedicated interest In contact dermatitis. He joined Dr. Scherer in practice at Dermatology Physicians, Inc. in August of 2011. Dr. Sheehan is Board Certified in Dermatology and has memberships in the State Dermatological Association, Indiana State Medical Association, Bartholomew/Brown County Medical Society, and the American Medical Association. He is also a volunteer faculty at Indiana University.
Dr. Sheehan is avidly involved in both the American Contact Dermatitis Society and the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Sheehan hopes to continue to grow his passion and enthusiasm for dermatology and patch testing. He has established a patch test clinic in Columbus to serve Southern Indiana.
​Laura M. Burdick, MD, FAAD graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine in 2006 and completed her Residency in 2010 at Cleveland Clinic. She completed a Fellowship in Dermatopathology at Cleveland Clinic in 2012. Dr. Burdick joined Dr. Scherer and Dr. Sheehan in practice October 1, 2013. She is Board Certified in Dermatology and Dermatopathology and a member of the Indiana Dermatological Association and the Indiana State Medical Association.

Jordan B. Heskett, MD, FAAD graduated from the Indiana University School of Medicine in 2014 and completed her Residency at IU in Dermatology in 2018. She was Academic Chief Resident from 2017-2018 and was awarded the Cleveland J. Francoeur Outstanding Dermatology Resident Award. Dr. Heskett joined Dr. Scherer, Dr. Sheehan and Dr. Burdick in practice in August 2018. She is Board Certified in Dermatology and is a member of both the American Academy of Dermatology and the Indiana Academy of Dermatology.
